Where colour roams, stories unfold, and the spirit of the Prairies comes alive.
Canadian artist Jamie McCallum’s work is a vibrant celebration of whimsy, humanity, and home. With a background in graphic design, photography, and gallery work, Jamie’s creative journey has been shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences — from North Dakota to Minnesota, and finally back to her roots in the Canadian Prairies.
Since returning to Canada in 2013, Jamie has embraced her lifelong passion for painting. Her contemporary, gestural style combines bold proportions with rich textures and vivid colours — each brushstroke evoking mood, curiosity, and a sense of place.
Inspired by her time in Fernie, British Columbia, and her current home near Riding Mountain National Park, Jamie’s art reflects her journey — a farm girl returning to the landscape that shaped her.
"My work is a reflection of my inner spirit and the journey of my creative purpose. It speaks of my return back to Canada, the farm girl I have always been, and the Prairies that called me back home."
