Catherine's art is inspired by over 30 years of exploring her natural habitat: the pristine shoreline waters, the snowy hilltop mountains, the forests of the subalpine and the wildlife native to the regions surrounding her apartment studio in White Rock, BC.
The pieceful marshes and meadows along the Salish Sea coast are safe havens for the local Pacific Great Blue Herons to nest. With magnificent mountains as the backdrop, stay sharp while you search for several native birds concealed within the intricate locks of this puzzle.
This puzzle is packaged in a circular tin and can be purchased individually or in the bundle of all 3 Catherine Robertson mini puzzles.

Best gift to oneself
I always enjoyed doing puzzles as a kid but when I got older, that meant that I had to have more puzzle pieces then before. With this puzzle, with the intricate design and the beautiful colors of canadian landscape, I have fallen back in love with doing puzzles.
Delightfully soothing
This was a quick build, with easy color differentiation, but it rewards slow study afterwards for the charming whimsies and connectors, from the duck head in the marsh to the half bird flying in from the edge of the sky. I particularly love the two-piece whimsy of the parent bird feeding baby birds in a bird house. And the five-piece alternate solution makes excellent use of color cutting to sketch a landscape in miniature.
No hesitation in buying this series
As soon as this series was announced as "coming soon", I kept track of its availability for ordering. Catherine Robertson's images are stunning and capture the beauty of the Canadian west coast. I thoroughly enjoyed finding the thematic whimsies - from this and the other 2 puzzles in this series - to create yet another mini-puzzle.
Wonderful Gift!
This puzzle was a Christmas gift for my sister. Never having done a wood whimsy puzzle before, she couldn't wait to get started. She absolutely loved it and found the experience really enjoyable. This couldn't have been a more perfect image for her, as it almost mirrors where she lives! She & hubby are on the golf course at Semiahmoo Resort, Blaine, WA and look out at all kinds of wildlife and birds every day - herons, ducks and geese are plentiful near the pond and on the greens. I have included a photo of the view from their patio she faced as she did the puzzle. Her husband received the mini "Knight Watch", and they traded off, so each got double the pleasure of a StumpCraft puzzle!
A perfect Puzzling Moment
Whenever I need a quick puzzling fix, I reach for a Stumpcraft mini. I can count on a high-quality puzzle with great care taken on the cut and fit, design, illustration selection, and colour reproduction. This puzzle was the easiest of the 3 related minis - with strong horizontal lines
