Huntington's disease (HD) is a genetic brain disorder with physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. It is often described as having ALS, Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s, all at the same time. There is no known cure.
One in every 7,000 Canadians has HD, and approximately one in every 5,500 is at-risk for developing the disease. Many more are touched by HD as caregivers, family members, or friends.
What is the Huntington Society of Canada (HSC)?
Established in 1973, HSC is a national and global leader in recognizing the needs of those affected by HD. The Society offers help and hope to Canadians affected by HD through service programs for individuals and families and funding for cutting-edge, internationally recognized research.

Blooming Hope - A Blooming Delight
Exceptional in every way! What a delight, working on this puzzle. The pieces, as always, were so unique and fit together so very well. I particularly like the fact that these puzzles are made of wood, rather than cardboard. Outstanding workmanship! I love the smell when I first open the box. You can tell that many hours went into lasering and designing this puzzle. The pieces are thick and a joy to handle. Unlike most cardboard puzzles, you can not build the edges first! It was wonderfully challenging with all the reds. Looking forward to building the next one. Thanks!
Exeptional in Every Way
So may wonderful things about this puzzle. 1. Craftsmanship of the pieces - so much time went into making this puzzle. The pieces fit together perfectly. It's make a wood, not cardboard. The printing of the artwork on the wood never fades or wears away. It's vivid and clear. 2. I love the smell when I open the tin or the box. A wood / laser scent. 3. The artist is from Calgary! 4. It forces your brain to focus on the task at hand. So helpful for those of us with anxiety and depression. 5. It's not a puzzle you make and then donate to a thrift shop. I passed it on to friends and family. When it was returned to me, I made it again. 6. Lovely atmospher when making it - sitting by the fire, with a glass of wine, and my dog sleeping on the couch beside me. 7. I like how it's packaged. So easy to pop it into the suitcase for a trip. 8. Fun to make as a team. One person puts in the first piece. Your partner adds the second piece. 9. I like going into the store. The staff is outstanding and make me feel so welcome. We've had so many good discussions. 10. A lovely, inexpensive but beautiful gift for someone.
